About Us

Sekah Ganesha Foundation was born from a deep respect for Bali’s cultural heritage. The journey began with the rediscovery and restoration of Sekah Dalem Temple, a sacred site with a history spanning over 700 years.

Preserving Bali’s Heritage: Uplifting Communities and Protecting Traditions for Future Generations

Founded by Ketut Arjana and his family, the foundation seeks to preserve this cultural treasure while uplifting local communities. By assisting underprivileged families with Balinese ceremonies and championing traditional values amidst rapid modernization, the foundation ensures that Bali’s vibrant culture thrives for future generations.

Empowerment

Moreover, we are committed to empowering local communities, particularly youth, by offering guidance and training to enhance skills and knowledge in hospitality. Recognizing Bali's global reputation for tourism, we strive to develop highly skilled human resources in this field. Our initiatives extend to GEDSI communities, ensuring inclusivity for people with disabilities and minority groups from across Indonesia. Training programs in hospitality, tourism, and languages (such as English, French, and Spanish) aim to create equitable opportunities for success, regardless of limitations or economic background. Guests of Keramas Sacred River are welcome to volunteer their expertise, creating a positive impact on the future of these communities.

Fostering Sustainability Through Action and Community Care

Additionally, the foundation advocates for a clean, green environment through sustainable tourism practices at Keramas Sacred River. Efforts include waste separation, organic gardening, routine beach and river cleanups, and tree planting. These initiatives foster environmental stewardship within the community, especially among children and youth.
